Limekiln Gulch, Salt Lake City, Utah

These kilns were built in the 1850's, and were abandoned after a violent rainstorm destroyed about 10,000 bushels of stockpiled lime in 1908. The view from here is spectacular, on a steep hillside with a commanding view of Salt Lake City.
