Abandoned chicken farm, Topaz Japanese internment camp, Utah
In World War II, Japanese people, including American citizens, were relocated to internment camps for the duration of the war. Topaz was one of these camps and now there is virtually nothing left of it but a few foundations and the ruins of this chicken farm. There were about 9000 people here, making it the 5th largest city in Utah at the time.
