Aguereberry Camp and the Cashier Mill, Death Valley, California
Pete Aguereberry worked his claim here in Death Valley for 40 years until the early 1930's. There was a lot of mining activity in this desolate valley, including a tent city named Harrisburg which had about 300 people, but is completely gone. The Empire Mine adit and ruins of the Cashier Mill are around the hill, and most of the remaining buildings are from Pete Aguereberry's camp.
