Anonymous cemetery obelisk, Osceola, Nevada
This is the only wooden grave obelisk I have ever seen, and it is too eroded to read the name. Osceola was a hydraulic mining town started when a gold vein was discovered in 1872. About 1500 people lived here once but the town died when ditches failed to bring enough water to work the mines.
