The 17 graves in Ruby City, Idaho cemetery are nearly all that remains of the town that was once the seat of Owyhee County
Several websites state there is nothing else left of Ruby City, but ruins can be found by walking the hills. The town was founded in 1863 but by 1866 most of the buildings were moved a mile away to Silver City, which was closer to the mines.
