The LIBERTY barn in Liberty, Idaho had an American Flag on the other side.  We noticed it was gone in 2024.  This was once Liberty Lumber, run by Earl Nye.  It also had a blacksmith shop.

The LIBERTY barn in Liberty, Idaho has disappeared
In the early days of aviation, town names were painted on thousands of buildings as navigation aids as part of the National Air Marking Program.  In World War II many of the names were removed from west coast towns because they were thought to help the Japanese if they attacked.  Some history was lost when this barn was removed.
