Railroad tracks and Nevada Northern engine house, Cobre, Nevada
This railroad town was located at the former junction of the Southern Pacific Railroad and Nevada Northern Railway. Cobre (Spanish for copper) was a transfer point for copper for the smelter in Ely. It was once a rough boomtown, but the Post Office closed in 1956 and it became an isolated ghost town.
